Local Scholarship Donors Award $564,572 to Comal ISD Students Comal ISD is proud to partner with community partners who offer scholarships to district students. This year the district with the help of these community partners awarded a total of 477 local scholarships to seniors across the district. These scholarships range in amounts from $250 to $25,000.
Class of 2022 Top Academic Graduates Announced Comal ISD students excel both in and out of the classroom, and their achievements are recognized in many ways. When it comes to academic honors, students who graduate in the top 5, 10 and 15 percent of their class are honored and given honor chords to wear with their cap and gown.
Graduation 2022: Comal ISD Graduates More Than 1,800 Seniors Comal ISD celebrated the end of the school year with six graduation ceremonies including the first for one of its newest campuses, Davenport High School.
Johnson Ranch Kinder Teacher, HIll Country College Prep English Teacher, Named District Teachers of the Year The last day of the school year for teachers and staff brought a big surprise to two Comal ISD teachers. Johnson Ranch Elementary kindergarten teacher Danielle Tapp was named the Elementary District Teacher of the Year, and Hill Country College Preparatory High School English teacher Jennifer Fey was named the Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Comal ISD Hosting Five Summer Job Fairs The summer is prime time to join the team at Comal ISD, and the district is hosting five summer job fairs to fill all positions with a high demand for teachers, bus drivers, instructional paraprofessionals, licensed specialists in school psychology (LSSP) and licensed speech pathologists (LSP).
Gold Seal, All-State Art Awards Earned at VASE Student submissions to this year's Visual Arts Scholastic Events (VASE) earned high praise with All-State Artist honors and a Gold Seal award.
Campuses Host Final Signing Days For Student Athletes Comal ISD high school campuses hosted final signing days for student athletes with a dozen taking the next step in order to continue to play the sport of their choice at the next level.
Spring Sports Athletes Honored for State Awards Athletes across the district qualified and competed in state competitions this spring from golf and track to powerlifting and tennis. Among those who qualified, three became State Champions, six became silver medalists and one earned a bronze medal.
Comal Education Foundation Rewards 10 Spring Grants to Teachers The Comal Education Foundation's Spring Prize Patrol traveled across the district surprising teachers with grants which will help fund a few of their innovative programs.
