June 3, 2025 - Five Comal ISD seniors are among 36 students across Texas’ 21st congressional district to receive the 2025 Exceptional Senior Award from U.S. Representative Chip Roy. In its sixth year of existence, these honorees were selected because of their high levels of character, leadership, integrity and diligence.

This year’s Comal ISD Exceptional Senior Award honorees are the following students:

  • Sophia Arreguin, Memorial Early College High School
  • Abbigail Shultz, Hill Country College Preparatory High School
  • Athena Sorenson, Davenport High School
  • Peyton Wilson, Canyon High School
  • Rylee Wunderlich, Canyon Lake High School

“I am proud of all that these incredible young men and women of Texas’ 21st Congressional District have achieved,” says Congressman Roy. “Texans have reason to be optimistic about our great state’s destiny with them as our future leaders.”

Roy continued by thanking the families of these exceptional seniors for their love and support throughout their educational journeys. He also thanked the faculty of schools across his district who recommended them.

Congratulations!
