Oct. 28, 2022 - High school students and their families had the chance to connect with more than 70 recruiters from colleges, businesses, trade schools and military branches at the Comal Independent School District’s College, Career and Military (CCM) Fair Wednesday at Davenport High School.
This annual event is the perfect opportunity for students to gather valuable information as they begin to make decisions about their futures.
For 11th-grade student from Pieper High School, Cody Cramer, this was just another step in his journey to find the right college for him to attend after high school graduation. He was able to speak with recruiters from two of the schools which he is considering at the fair – Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
“This gave me the opportunity to ask questions and get more information,” says Cramer, who is now looking to schedule campus tours of his top choices.
Each student was given a guidebook as they entered the fair which provided help on what questions to ask the recruiters from admissions and social life to academics and life on campus. It also offered questions for career and military recruiter as well.
Students who registered for the fair were automatically entered into a raffle for free prizes including a new Chromebook.
