Clear Spring Elementary Student Wins T-Shirt Design Contest

A fourth-grade student from Clear Spring Elementary won this year’s Fun Fish t-shirt design contest. This is the second year in a row for a student from Clear Spring Elementary to win the contest.

Gabby Vasquez won the design with her submission featuring a family fishing off a dock. Her design adorned all the shirts given to the public and volunteers for this year’s Fun Fish event which took place Feb. 23, at Camp Huaco Springs. In addition to having her artwork displayed on the shirts, Vasquez received a $100 gift card.

Every year, CSES art teacher Tammy Mendenhall gives students the opportunity to enter the contest which is sponsored by the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (W.O.R.D.). She is proud of her students who enter the contest and excited that the winning entry has represented the campus for two years in a row.

Congratulations, Gabby!
